We're on the hunt for dynamic Traveling Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to enrich our project execution team. As part of our vibrant team, you'll work under the guidance of our Senior Project Manager and other Project Managers, closely collaborating with Site Superintendents and Project Accountants to drive projects to their successful completionon time and within budget, traveling to sites and supporting projects in the Southeast. This role will assist with coordination, scheduling, and communication between all project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

*This role will require relocation to support on-site, long-term projects based in the Southeast.

As a Traveling Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager at Cooper Tacia your duties will include:

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in daily operations, ensuring effective implementation of project plans.
  • Engage in negotiations for subcontractor and vendor pricing to optimize project costs.
  • Manage project schedules, documentation, and ensure all compliance with industry standards.
  • Handle RFI submissions and track submittals, maintaining clear and effective communication across project teams.
  • Assist in project planning, including creating schedules and budgets; ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Support the Project Manager in tracking project progress and maintaining project. documentation.
  • Monitor and report on project costs, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Attend project meetings and preparing meeting minutes.
  • Support the Project Manager in conducting project closeout, including final inspections and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, preferably in project management or similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction software such as Procore and Primavera is highly recommended.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
