People Source is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on a large-scale data center construction project in Ridgeville, SC. The ideal candidate will have strong construction safety experience, be knowledgeable in OSHA requirements, and be comfortable working directly with field crews, foremen, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enforce site safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Develop, review, and enforce JSAs (Job Safety Analyses) and site-specific safety procedures.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and worker orientations.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and corrective action records.
- Work closely with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and project management.
- Monitor fall protection, rigging, lifting, PPE, electrical, equipment, and other construction safety requirements.
- Ensure workers follow project-specific safety procedures and client requirements.
Requirements
- Construction safety management experience, preferably on data center, industrial, or large commercial projects.
- Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification required.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
- Experience creating and reviewing JSAs/JHAs.
- Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
