CNC Machinist – Precision Components

Location: Onsite | Work Arrangement: Fully site based

Shift: 1st Shift Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (OT and weekends as needed)

Compensation: Up to $21.71/hr with a guaranteed increase after 3 months. Perfect attendance bonus up to 2 additional days off and $1000.00.

A Day in the Life

You arrive on first shift, review the work orders for blower and pump components, and load raw material. You set up the CNC, verify tooling, and run a first-article check. Throughout the day, you watch gauges and indicators, fine-tune offsets with basic math, and keep the line moving. Between cycles, you inspect parts, record results, and perform routine maintenance so every part hits spec. Before clocking out, you document production, clean the area, and hand off notes for the next run.

Role Summary

Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce precision parts. Apply practical mechanics, shop math, metal properties, and machining procedures. Support construction, assembly, and rebuilds of equipment such as blowers, pumps, and boosters for industries including transportation, manufacturing, and wastewater treatment.

What You’ll Do

• Set up CNC machines; load programs, tools, and fixtures; execute changeovers efficiently.
• Run production using G-Code and adjust tool/work offsets to maintain tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to verify dimensions and features.
• Monitor operations (gauges, dials, indicators) to ensure proper machine performance.
• Perform in-process inspections and quality control analysis; document results.
• Troubleshoot operating issues and collaborate on corrective actions.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and uphold 5S/safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Mathematics: Arithmetic and algebra for measurements and offsets.
• Operation Monitoring: Track performance through gauges and indicators.
• Quality Control Analysis: Test, inspect, and evaluate processes and output.
• Operation & Control: Run equipment and systems effectively.
• Troubleshooting: Identify causes of operating errors and resolve them.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine upkeep on machinery.

Preferred Background

• 2+ years of assembly and/or CNC machining experience.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to determine and complete offsets using basic mathematics.

Physical Requirements: Regularly walk and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
