Material Handler
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $18-24/hr
Schedule: 1st / 2nd / 3rd Shift Available
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. The Material Handler will be responsible for moving materials throughout the facility, supplying production areas, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse or manufacturing experience who enjoys staying active and working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Move raw materials, components, finished products, and supplies throughout the facility
- Supply production lines and workstations with necessary materials
- Load and unload trucks and trailers
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials
- Prepare finished products and materials for shipment
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory and material counts
- Read work orders, production schedules, and shipping documents
- Package and label materials and finished products
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Assist production and warehouse teams with additional material-handling duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift and move materials throughout the workday
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math and counting skills
- Good attendance and reliability
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry materials
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required
- Ability to safely perform repetitive material-handling tasks
