What’s a typical day as Light Assembly Worker? You’ll be:
  • Picking and placing parts according to customer orders in designated work areas
  • Reading customer orders, work orders, and shipping documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped
  • Moving items from containers, racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences (size, type, style, color, or product code)
  • Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and organizing them in designated areas
  • Ensuring the warehouse is clean, safe, and accessible
  • Scanning materials and moving them as per standard work instructions
  • Assisting in counting and accurate tracking of inventory and materials
  • Performing facilities maintenance duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, and organizing work areas
  • Following environmental, health, and safety standards and rules
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED (required)
  • Are computer literate and experienced with WMS warehouse management systems
  • Are self-motivated and able to work well in a diverse team environment
  • Are flexible and able to work overtime or varying shifts as required by business demands
  • Can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Are comfortable with basic mathematical calculations
  • Can lift up to 25 lbs daily (occasionally up to 50 lbs) and are physically able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, twist, turn, push, and pull as required
  • Possess vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
