Position Description: About the RoleGramazon is seeking a Receiving Clerk to receive and verify incoming cannabis and non-cannabis inventory. This role compares what physically arrives with purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, transfer manifests, and inventory system records before products move to the next stage.For cannabis products, the Receiving Clerk completes or supports authorized receiving transactions in Distru and METRC. The role may also assist with Dutchie or POS records. When a shipment and its records do not match, the discrepancy must be documented and resolved before the receipt is finalized.Core AccountabilitiesSafety: Follow required safety practices when receiving, lifting, and handling inventory.Accuracy: Verify product identity, quantity or weight, condition, and documentation at the time of receipt.Timeliness: Complete receiving transactions and inventory handoffs promptly while tracking pending receipts and discrepancies.Cost Control: Catch errors, damage, duplicate items, and invoice differences before they create additional work or expense.Compliance: Maintain cannabis traceability, reconcile transfer manifests, and keep complete receiving records.Communication: Work closely with the Receiving Manager, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Inventory teams. Escalate unclear or conflicting information.EssentialResponsibilitiesReceive deliveries from approved vendors and Gramazon/DACUT facilities.Compare shipments with purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, transfer documents, and cannabis manifests as applicable.Verify product descriptions, SKUs, quantities, weights, units of measure, package identifiers, labels, and condition.Identify shortages, overages, damage, incorrect products, and documentation errors before completing receipts.Place damaged, unknown, or discrepant products on hold according to company procedures.Compare cannabis transfer manifests with the physical products received.Complete or support authorized receiving transactions in Distru and METRC.Document and escalate material discrepancies before accepting or finalizing cannabis receipts.Compare invoices with physical receipts, orders, manifests, and system transactions; flag pricing, quantity, SKU, tax, fee, or documentation differences.Scan, upload, and organize invoices, manifests, and receiving records.Provide Accounting with verified receiving information. Final invoice approval remains with Accounting.Assist with Dutchie receiving and product catalog updates when assigned.Follow the approved item setup process and flag unknown products or potential duplicate items.Receive internal transfers and maintain a clear record of inventory movement between locations.Communicate receipt status and putaway instructions to the Receiving Manager and Warehouse Lead.Support cycle counts and discrepancy investigations by providing receiving documents and transaction records.Track open receipts, pending manifests, held products, and unresolved discrepancies at the end of each workday.PerformanceExpectationsPerformance will be evaluated based on receiving accuracy, timely system entries, cannabis manifest reconciliation, documentation, safety, and communication. Measures may include:Accuracy of receipts and manifest reconciliationTimeliness and accuracy of Distru and METRC transactionsIdentification of invoice discrepancies before approvalResolution time for receiving exceptionsAccuracy of item and catalog informationCompleteness of receiving recordsAttendance, reliability, and adherence to proceduresRole Expectations and Decision AuthorityThe Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately documenting assigned receipts. The Receiving Manager directs the receiving process and manages exceptions. Supply Chain provides broader oversight, and Accounting approves vendor invoices for payment.The Receiving Clerk may verify shipments, complete authorized transactions, and place questionable products on hold according to procedure. The Clerk must escalate discrepancies involving product identity, quantities, manifests, labels, traceability, or item setup. Physical counts and system records must not be changed simply to make conflicting information agree. The Clerk does not approve vendor payments or inventory adjustments outside established authority.QualificationsRequiredMust be at least 21 years old and eligible to work in Michigan’s regulated cannabis industry.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in receiving, inventory control, warehousing, distribution, retail inventory, or a comparable role; 1–3 years preferred.Strong attention to detail and ability to compare physical products with documents and system records.Comfort using computer-based inventory and POS systems.Ability to investigate and communicate discrepancies.Strong organization, recordkeeping, written communication, reliability, and follow-through.PreferredHands-on METRC experience.Experience with Distru or Dutchie.Experience matching orders, invoices, and receipts or working with manifests, ERP, WMS, POS systems, or product catalogs.Experience receiving inventory in cannabis, pharmaceutical, food, automotive, or another controlled environment.Apply TodayIf you are detail-oriented and take pride in accurate receiving and inventory records, we invite you to apply for the Receiving Clerk position with Gramazon.#Retail26 Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements throughout the shift.Maintain manual dexterity to package, label, sort, and inspect cannabis products.Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and twist frequently.Work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, hairnets, beard covers (if applicable), safety glasses, and other protective gear.Maintain visual acuity to inspect products, read labels, and identify quality concerns.Work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature-controlled production areas.Safely operate production equipment and follow all safety procedures.Ability to remain focused and meet production quotas while adhering to compliance and quality standards.Regular and reliable attendance with the ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed. $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly
