As our Staffing Coordinator, you will play an important role in ensuring our skilled nursing facility has appropriate staffing coverage to provide quality care to our residents. This position works closely with nursing staff and facility leadership to coordinate schedules, manage staffing changes, and help maintain smooth day-to-day operations.

As the Staffing Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and adjusting employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing coverage throughout the facility.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain nursing staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts
Make scheduling adjustments for call-offs, vacations, time-off requests, and staffing needs
Communicate schedule assignments and changes to employees in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate records of employee availability, time-off requests, and schedule changes
Work closely with nursing leadership and other department leaders to identify and address staffing needs
Help minimize unnecessary overtime and agency usage when possible
Utilize scheduling software and other tools to maintain accurate and efficient schedules
Address scheduling conflicts and last-minute staffing changes promptly and professionally
Maintain compliance with company policies, staffing guidelines, and applicable healthcare requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous scheduling experience in healthcare, long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting preferred
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience using scheduling or workforce management software preferred
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle call-offs, staffing changes, and scheduling conflicts professionally
Knowledge of healthcare staffing requirements and regulations is a plus
