Application Developer (.NET, React/Angular, Azure)

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule: Full-time
Contract: 12 months, with an option to renew

Effervescent Consulting is seeking an Application Developer to support the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH). You will build and enhance cloud-based applications, develop secure and maintainable code, and work with business stakeholders and technical teams to solve integration challenges.

What you’ll do

• Develop, test, and maintain application features and REST APIs.
• Build and improve user interfaces and cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand problems, assess proposed solutions, and identify technical constraints.
• Review technical designs, demonstrate completed work, and deliver features in an Agile environment.
• Troubleshoot integrations and application performance, including front-end response times.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Use Git and Azure DevOps to manage code and improve development workflows.

What we’re looking for

Experience in at least two of these three areas:

• Web and API development using the .NET stack, including ASP.NET and REST APIs
• UI development using React, Angular, Node.js, or similar technologies
• Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform

You should also have experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, database optimization, Git, Azure DevOps workflows, and Agile development. Familiarity with web services, XML, JSON, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP, and caching is expected.

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field; or 2–4 years of application development experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

The State may request conversion of the contractor to a full-time role at the end of the contract.
