U.S. Controller

Concept2, a global market leader in the manufactureof fitness ergometers and composite racing oars, is seeking aU.S. Controllerto join our team in Morrisville, VT. This role will focus on leading the U.S. entity's accounting function, including the close process, internal control development, and preparing reporting packages for company leadership.You will join an establishedteamandsupporta variety of accounting taskswhichinclude:

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support for operational accounting, treasury,intercompany,and tax reporting requirementsof theCompany’s U.S. entity.

• Ensuretimelycompletion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close functionsin accordance withU.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(U.S. GAAP).

• Coach team members through the application of U.S. GAAP.

• Oversee the coordination of U.S. team’s deliverables during the annual financial statement compilationandtax return preparationwith external accountants.

• Lead review of internal control framework and implement improvements where needed.

• Developdocumentationto ensure consistent performance of the department’s duties.

• Help the teamidentifyopportunities for process improvementsand take an active role in implementation.
• Collaborate with Global Finance team members and cross-functional departments on various accounting, reporting, and other business initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Abachelor’sdegree in accountingis required.

• Master’s degree and CPAarepreferred.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or a similar work environment, including2+ years of leadershipexperience.

• Accounting experienceinamanufacturing companysettingisdesired.

• Strong problem-solvingandanalyticalskills.

• Detail-orientedand organized.

• Demonstrated abilitytodevelop team members.

• Proficiencyacross Microsoft Office and Excel.
  

Compensation for this position consists of a salary range of $100,000-$130,000, depending on experience, plus participation in a quarterly variable wage program that is based on company and employee performance, which adds significantly to total compensation.
