Drug Collections Supervisor

Job Summary: Our Drug Collections Supervisor manages daily specimen collection operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising collection staff, maintaining chain-of-custody integrity and supplies, and providing expertise for complex urine, oral fluid, hair, and breath alcohol testing situations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision: Direct, mentor, and evaluate specimen collection staff; schedule shifts, manage workloads, and conduct performance reviews.

• Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all DOT and non-DOT urine, hair, and oral fluid collections strictly follow 49 CFR Part 40 and internal protocols.

• Chain of Custody: Oversee strict chain-of-custody procedures to prevent specimen tampering, error, or contamination.

• Training & Certification: Train new hires and maintain up-to-date certifications for staff (e.g., Breath Alcohol Technician [BAT] and Screening Test Technician

• Problem Resolution: Handle escalated donor issues, collection refusals, shy bladder procedures, and donor disputes with professionalism and confidentiality.

• Inventory & Systems: Monitor testing supplies inventory and ensure proficiency with laboratory information management systems (e.g., FormFox, DISA).

• Reporting: Prepare operational logs, incident reports, and quality assurance metrics for executive management.
