Podiatrist - Part-Time, Non-Surgical

• Schedule: Part-time, 1-2 half-day sessions per week
• Reports To: Adult Medicine Clinical Director or Medical Director

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team and provide high-quality foot and ankle care in a supportive outpatient setting.

This is an excellent part-time, non-surgical opportunity for a podiatrist looking for a flexible schedule while making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of patients. The role focuses on outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, preventive care, medical management, and in-office procedures.

The Podiatrist will care for patients across a range of podiatric needs, with particular emphasis on preventive and ongoing care for individuals with diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and other conditions that place them at increased risk for foot complications.

Working collaboratively with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals, the Podiatrist will help deliver patient-centered care consistent with our commitment to improving health outcomes, particularly for underserved and vulnerable populations.

Summary/Objective

Essential Functions

• Evaluate, diagnose, and medically manage conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and related structures.
• Provide preventive and ongoing foot care, particularly for patients with diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and other high-risk conditions.
• Diagnose and treat common podiatric conditions, including bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, infections, ulcers, fractures, and deformities.
• Perform appropriate in-office procedures, including nail and skin care, wound care, and other minor non-surgical interventions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate follow-up care.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding proper foot care, footwear, prevention strategies, and management of chronic conditions.
• Provide referrals to specialty care, physical therapy, diagnostic imaging, or other services when clinically indicated.
• Accurately and promptly document patient encounters, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and patient safety activities.
• Support community outreach and patient education initiatives, as appropriate.

Work Environment

Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform clinical procedures as needed during patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited podiatric medical school.
• Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program.
• Current and unrestricted state license to practice podiatry.
• Current DEA registration, if prescribing medications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in podiatric medicine and/or surgery preferred.
• Experience in an outpatient, community health, or primary care setting is a plus.
