New Business Account Manager

Summary

The New Business Account Manager is looking for new accounts in the assigned geographic area to sell into local level decision makers. As an Account Executive, the full portfolio of Signode products and services are available to present to new customers. This position is based on the Dallas, TX

Essential Functions

• Focused hunting new customers and engaging lower-spend current customers with significant opportunity.
• Meet or exceed sales goals.
• Identify and develop new sales opportunities.
• Sell through a consultative and solutions-driven method to provide a comprehensive packaging system to customers.
• Manages a few existing accounts that have limited current performance but significant upside to grow.
• Owns the account for a period of time and hands off to Account Manager team once growth has been unlocked.
• Hunting motions will focus on driving wins across consumables products.
• Prepares proposals, contracts/agreements, and sales presentations.
• Supports lead generation activities and actively uncovers new opportunities; maintain a pipeline of leads, forecast potential wins.
• Build networks and relationships with industry leaders to advance Signode’s opportunities.
• Maintain up-to-date sales opportunities and customer records in CRM.
• Provide insight to peers, including product management, product development and equipment sales teams.
• Contribute information to the sales and marketing strategy by sharing market opportunitiesandcompetitive area information.
• Collaborate with internal teams on account management, projects, and department initiatives.
• Coordinate with finance to set up new accounts in applicable ERP systems.
• Work closely with our Customer Service, Regional and Inside Sales teams.
• Arrange an effective Time and Territory Management Plan that maximizes sales efficiency.
• Participate in Training & Development opportunities in order to continually improve, upgrade performance, experience career development and advancement.

Education: Associate’s degree in Business, Sales or similar field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: At least 3 years in sales. Strong experience in landing new leads and selling prospects. Must live in the greater Dallas, TX area; travel overnight – up to 70%, depending on geographical region.

• Knowledge of Signode’s products and applications to sell solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
• Strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude.
• Ability to use a CRM and read dashboards on PowerBi, with general MS Office proficiency.
• Strong technology skills with social media knowledge to drive current customers and prospect engagement.
