CFO

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to guide the financial direction of a mission-driven organization in Springdale, Arkansas. This leader will play a central role in strengthening long-term sustainability while providing oversight across finance, human resources, and technology functions. The ideal candidate brings strong business judgment, a collaborative leadership approach, and the ability to translate complex financial matters into practical guidance for senior leaders and board members.

Responsibilities:

• Shape the organization’s financial strategy through long-range planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis that supports mission goals and operational stability.

• Partner with executive leadership and the board to evaluate financial performance, identify risks, and recommend actions that support sustainable growth.

• Direct core financial operations, including accounting, general ledger activity, payables, receivables, payroll, cash management, and timely close processes.

• Establish and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and reporting practices that promote accountability and sound stewardship of resources.

• Oversee audit preparation, tax-related filings, grant compliance, and regulatory reporting to ensure adherence to nonprofit and funding requirements.

• Lead and develop administrative functions connected to human resources, including policy oversight, benefits coordination, compliance, employee relations, and talent support practices.

• Provide oversight for information technology operations, including systems reliability, cybersecurity awareness, data integrity, and management of external technology vendors.

• Contribute as a senior leadership team member by supporting strategic planning, organizational decision-making, and access to secure, useful operational data for leadership.

• Evaluate and improve financial and operational systems to increase efficiency, strengthen reporting, and support organizational scale.

• Manage banking partnerships and refine financial procedures that improve liquidity planning and overall fiscal management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, accounting, or a comparable executive-level function.

• Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow oversight, and internal control practices.

• Experience leading accounting operations and supervising teams in a complex organizational environment.

• Knowledge of nonprofit financial compliance, grant-related oversight, audits, tax reporting, and GAAP standards.

• Ability to present financial insights clearly to executives, board members, and other stakeholders.

• Demonstrated success balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational leadership across multiple priorities.

• CPA designation and experience in nonprofit, human services, HR oversight, or technology leadership are highly valued.
