Underground Utility Locator

Underground Systems is looking for a locator responsible for pinpointing the paths of cables, pipes, and conduits:

• Precision Detection: Use advanced electrical, magnetic, and ground-penetrating radar equipment to locate and map the depth of water, sewer, gas, cable, and electric lines.
• Blueprints & Mapping: Read and interpret utility maps and prints to identify infrastructure sizes and types.
• Marking the Way: Apply the APWA Uniform Color Code with precision to guide excavation teams.
• Equipment Care: Perform preventative maintenance on your locating machines and maintain a clean, fueled, and ready-to-go service van.
• Safety Leadership: Adhere to all PPE requirements (hard-hats, safety vests, steel-toed boots) and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.

We are looking for a teammate who is reliable, detail-oriented, and technically savvy.

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in utility locating or a related field.
• License: A current and valid Driver’s License is required.
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to operate varied detection equipment accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with the APWA Uniform Color Code

Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience.
