Industrial Maintenance Supervisor – 1st or 2nd Shift
Location: Riverside, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st or 2nd Shift
Salary: $80,000–$120,000 annually, depending on shift, experience and qualifications
Legacy Career Solutions is recruiting experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisors for an established manufacturing organization in Riverside, California. Multiple opportunities are available on first and second shift.
This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced industrial maintenance professional who can supervise and develop maintenance technicians while remaining technically involved in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, safety and equipment reliability.
The right candidate will combine strong mechanical and industrial electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to organize work, prioritize maintenance needs, lead technicians and maintain a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, organize and prioritize the work of maintenance technicians and outside contractors
- Lead and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Maintain and improve the preventive maintenance program
- Review existing PM procedures and make appropriate corrections
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment problems
- Work with 3-phase motors, transformers, VFDs, relays and industrial electrical systems
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, electrical ladder diagrams and schematics
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting involving bearings, belts, chains, couplers and related components
- Assist with welding, fabrication and equipment repairs as needed
- Use CMMS or maintenance records to document work performed
- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs based on production needs
- Ensure projects and maintenance activities remain on schedule
- Lead maintenance and safety training
- Support LOTO, hot-work permits, JSAs and other workplace safety requirements
- Review LOTO procedures for accuracy and compliance
- Ensure OSHA and company safety policies are consistently followed
- Maintain accurate employee timekeeping records
- Work collaboratively with production and operations leadership
- Travel occasionally to the company's San Bernardino facility as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 6 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- 3+ years of maintenance supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of 3-phase motors and transformers
- Experience with VFDs and industrial electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to use electrical diagnostic equipment, including multimeters
- Understanding of relay logic and electrical control circuits
- Ability to read electrical ladder diagrams and technical drawings
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical power-transmission components
- Welding and fabrication experience strongly preferred
- Mill and lathe experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of LOTO and industrial safety practices
- Ability to lead technicians while remaining hands-on when necessary
Compensation
The anticipated salary range is $80,000–$120,000 annually, depending upon shift, experience, technical capabilities and qualifications.
Work Location
This position is based primarily in Riverside, California, with occasional travel to the company's San Bernardino facility.
