Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$37 per hour (W2 contract only; no C2C)

Shift:

1st shift (7 am to 3:30 pm) – Overtime may be scheduled at end of shift

What’s a typical day as a Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer? You’ll be:
  • Leading and facilitating quality solutions for urgent shop floor and customer issues, focusing on permanent corrective actions and systemic prevention
  • Performing quality planning for fluid conveyance, and possibly hydraulics, metal fabrication, or fasteners, including product and supplier change requests
  • Executing Design Process and Assembly Reviews (DPARs), print reviews, and design reviews for new and current products
  • Utilizing Six Sigma and quality tools (Statistical Analysis, FMEA, 8D methodology) to address quality concerns for externally manufactured parts and assemblies
  • Leading supplier Quality Improvement Teams and collaborating with cross-functional project teams
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Hold a degree in Technology, Engineering, Communications, Business, Computer Science, or Data Analytics (recent grads are welcome!)
  • Have experience in Supplier Quality Engineering and/or Quality Engineering
  • Possess functional knowledge of project management, including leading cross-functional teams
  • Are skilled in quality management tools: FMEA, SPC, Root Cause, Control Plans, Gage R&R, MSA, Capability Studies
  • Can read and interpret complex part drawings, including GD&T
  • Are proficient in advanced data gathering and statistical analysis
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, and a willingness to learn
  • Possess strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Are comfortable working onsite in a factory environment, including time on the shop floor and occasional intra-facility travel (including driving factory equipment after training)
  • Can wear required metatarsal safety boots and adhere to a business casual dress code
Additional Information:
  • Fully onsite position; no remote work available
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
  • May require driving a company-owned Gator indoors and/or a personal vehicle to facilities within a 20-mile radius (no rental cars)
