Job Title: Wealth Advisor

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Wealth Advisor to join our team in Northern Virginia. The Wealth Advisor will serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients and prospective clients, providing personalized, comprehensive financial planning and wealth management guidance.
The ideal candidate will have strong financial planning expertise, excellent communication skills, and a client-focused approach. This role requires someone who can build lasting relationships, lead client meetings, identify planning opportunities, and collaborate effectively with internal tax, financial planning, and investment teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead advisor and primary point of contact for assigned client relationships.
- Develop and present comprehensive financial plans tailored to client goals and needs.
- Conduct regular client review meetings and proactively identify financial planning opportunities.
- Provide guidance across retirement, tax, estate, education, insurance, and investment planning.
- Coordinate with the firm's tax, financial planning, and investment teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Manage client onboarding and transition processes.
- Provide guidance on portfolio construction and investment implementation.
- Review financial planning analyses and recommendations prepared by associates.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service.
- Participate in business development initiatives and professional referral relationships.
- Participate in the Company Investment Committee.
- Utilize financial planning, CRM, and portfolio management technology to deliver efficient, high-quality client service.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all applicable compliance and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- CFP® certification in good standing required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or investment advisory services.
- Proven experience leading client meetings and managing ongoing client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of retirement, tax, estate, investment, and risk management planning.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and client service abilities.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- CPA, CFA®, EA, or other relevant professional designations are preferred.
- Experience with financial planning software, CRM platforms, and portfolio management tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Northern Virginia and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
