Full-Time & Part-Time Motorcoach Driver

Tri-State Travel has been the premier leader in worry-free travel for over 85 years, and we are now adding part-time motor coach drivers to our team of professionals at our Galena, IL, and Davenport, IA facilities!

We are looking for individuals who are professional, flexible, and people-oriented with at least two years of OTR experience. If interested, please apply; in-house training can be accommodated for the right candidate to obtain a CDL license. Those interested in Part-Time may set their own schedule but may have to drive certain weekends.

The main responsibility of a Motor Coach operator is to get passengers to their destinations safely and on time. Responsibilities include:

• Operate Company vehicles/equipment in accordance with current D.O.T. regulations and Company policies and procedures.
• Conducting pre- and post-route inspections of vehicles
• Following traffic laws and employer safety rules while driving;
• Perform any pre-trip ‘homework’ thoroughly by using maps or the computer/internet to research best, safest routes, etc.
• Follow instructions on work tickets or duties as assigned by Operations staff, such as Dispatch, the Operations Manager, or the Safety & Training Officer.
• Treat all guests, customers, and other persons in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
• Assist passengers in boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Assists with loading, unloading and moving luggage, packages and other items as needed.
• Follows all legislative requirements concerning Drivers’ hours regulations both in and out of the U.S. and completes assigned log books accurately.
• Keep the interior and exterior of the vehicle neat and orderly.
• Report any incident that involves injury, damage to any passenger, pedestrian, or third-party property immediately and in line with Company procedures.
• Attend any required Company Driver Training and/or driver meetings.

Summary

As a Part-Time Motor Coach Driver, you will safely transport passengers while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a valid CDL and strong bus and motor coach driving skills. Your strong mechanical knowledge and maintenance skills will be essential for ensuring the vehicle's optimal performance. Relevant experience in shuttle driving and communication will also enhance the passenger experience.
