Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Fresno, CA 93703
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
1st shift hours- 7am - 3:30pm
Contract: 6 months
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of machine operator experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to learn and operate complex manufacturing equipment.
This position offers an opportunity to develop manufacturing skills and potentially transition to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Operate various manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
Stack and handle corrugated products according to production requirements.
Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
Set up materials and equipment for production.
Follow work instructions and specific directions from supervisors.
Operate power hand tools and other manufacturing equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA/safety regulations.
Read and use a tape measure accurately.
Perform basic mathematical calculations and computer-related tasks.
Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
Ability to bend, kneel, climb and navigate stairs as required.
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of machine operator experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and production processes.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Strong attendance, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
Military training.
Technical school or manufacturing-related training.
Experience operating complex manufacturing machinery.
Experience with power hand tools.
