Job Description
Our manufacturing company is seeking a team member to join our Reagent Pack Value Stream. In this role, you will formulate, fill, test, and package chemical and biological reagent products of varying complexity according to operational plans and customer demand.
We are looking for associates who thrive in a team-oriented, goal-focused environment. We operate using Daily Management principles, providing immediate guidance and feedback while focusing on daily, monthly, and quarterly objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for following established operating procedures, maintaining appropriate training records, ensuring a smooth flow of materials, and executing work orders to meet on-time completion and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and follow established work instructions and procedures with a strong emphasis on quality.
- Execute daily production plans while meeting due-date and quality standards.
- Train and work according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Follow engineering drawings, work orders, SOPs, and written and verbal specifications during the manufacturing process while maintaining FDA requirements.
- Independently perform activities related to formulating, filling, testing, and packaging reagent products.
- Apply basic analytical skills and scientific methods to perform daily manufacturing tasks.
- Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot reagent components and instruments.
- Conduct testing of solutions, including pH, conductivity, and density, to ensure compliance with production and process specifications.
- Maintain compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO requirements.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to troubleshoot issues and maintain a strong focus on quality.
- Identify, recommend, and implement quality improvements related to production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Learn and participate in Lean Manufacturing principles and initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following established procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform additional duties and cross-training activities as assigned.
- Train new team members on equipment operation and work procedures as needed.
- Complete required documentation, maintain accurate production records, and report work status appropriately.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Experience in a regulated industry is preferred, such as FDA- or ISO-regulated environments.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong decision-making and prioritization skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods; approximately 80% of the workday may involve standing.
- Frequently use hands to handle or feel materials and equipment.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms above shoulder height and below the waist.
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift, and sit as required to accomplish production activities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
- Good hand dexterity and ability to maneuver assembly components by hand in a repetitive manner while maintaining efficiency, safety, and quality standards.
