WeareseekingaSeniorAircraftFluidSystemsEngineertohelpdefine,model,analyze,andintegratecriticalfluidsystems forourcleansheetdesignaircraftincludingHydraulicPowerSystems,AirManagementSystems,andEnvironmentalControlSystems(ECS).Inthisrole,youwillworkacrosssystemarchitecture,performanceanalysis,modelingandsimulation, suppliercollaboration,andcertification-readydesigntodeliverrobustaerospacesystemsforafirst-of-its-kindaircraft.
This is an opportunity for an experienced systems engineer who thrives in fast moving environments, enjoys solving complex multidisciplanary problems, and can independently drive technical work from concept through execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and maintain systems level models for environmental control and hydraulic power systems using Simulink, MATLAB, Python, among other tools.
- Performanalysesrelatedtothermalmanagement,airflow,pressurecontrol,fluiddynamics,andsystemintegration.
- Supportsystemarchitecturedefinition,requirementsdevelopment,andverificationplanning.
- InterpretandapplyFAAPart25regulationstoensurecompliancethroughoutdesignanddevelopment.
- Leadtechnicalinteractionswithsuppliers,includingreviewingdesigns,managingdeliverables,andensuring alignmentwithprogramrequirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support aircraft level integration and trade studies, including providing 3D layouts of equipment in CATIA.
- Preparecleartechnicaldocumentation,analysisreports,andpresentationsforinternalandexternalstakeholders.
Requirements
RequiredQualifications
- Bachelor’sorMaster’sdegreeinAerospaceEngineering,MechanicalEngineering,orarelatedfield.
- 8+yearsofrelevantexperienceinaircraftsystemsengineering,fluidsystems,environmentalcontrolsystems,hydraulics,thermalsystems,orrelatedaerospacesystems.
- StrongexperiencewithSimulink,MATLAB,andPythonformodeling,simulation,anddataanalysis.
- Solidunderstandingofenvironmentalcontrolsystems,hydraulicsystems,orrelatedaircraftsubsystems.
- Abilitytoworkindependently,setpriorities,anddrivetaskstocompletionwithminimaloversight.
- Excellentcommunicationskillsandacollaborativemindset.
PreferredQualifications
- FamiliaritywithFAAPart25certificationrequirementsandaircraftdevelopmentprocesses.
- Experiencemanagingsuppliersorexternalpartners,includingtechnicalreviewsandscheduleoversight.
- Experience supporting aircraft-level integration, system layouts, or equipment placement using CATIA or similar 3D design tools.
