Purchasing/Material Associate to join our team in Port Murray, NJ. Responsibilities:- Source, negotiate, and issue purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize shortages
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to track deliveries and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and supplier databases
- Evaluate supplier performance and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Process receiving documentation and reconcile purchase orders with incoming shipments
Requirements:
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and inventory control principles
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for vendor and cross-departmental coordination
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- 1-3 years experience.
