Job Duties:
- Performs comprehensive and problem focused history and physical exams.
- Interprets subjective and objective data to formulate an assessment and plan.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and lab work.
- Orders, prescribes, and dispenses medications, orthosis, orthotics, braces and other devices allowed.
- Performs joint and bursa aspirations, closed reduction of fractures and dislocations, injections of joints, and bursa as well as brace, cast and splint applications.
- Completes electronic preop lab orders.
- Maintains familiarity with and abides by the policies and procedures.
- Participates in appropriate clinical meetings to ensure continuum of care.
- Maintains memberships and activity within relevant professional organizations.
- Must be able to set priorities and provide direction to others that is clear, concise, and promotes efficiency.
- Regularly access internal and external resources to maintain professional knowledge base.
- Annual completion of specified competencies and in-services.
- Respects patients’ right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality and will provide a safe and supportive patient atmosphere.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or providers.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Professional certified registered nurse practitioner or physician assistant licensure required.
