Job Overview:
The Operations Manager reports to the Division manager and is in charge of assisting the division/ area with the intent for growth. Each division runs a business unit and responsible for managing their own profit and loss on a monthly basis with the assistance of financial leaders. The ideal candidate will have experience in the industrial services industry, be familiar with leak sealing and is a successful team leader.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Support the Division Manager as they manage all field services staff (up to 10) at the divisional level
- Assist with performance management for field level technical staff
- Review and approve scopes of work to ensure safety and quality standards are established
- Ensure service dates and customer commitments are met
- Assist with the divisional P&L ensuring cost and profitability levels are achieved
- Coordinate field services labor scheduling
- Establish and maintain customer relations with various levels within the customer organization
- Support Division Manager in preparation of various reports to provide to regional management including safety, financial, technical, etc
- Maintain sufficient levels of stock inventory to support business needs
- Build and maintain a cohesive and safe working environment
- Represent Colt with honesty in day-to-day duties
- Maintain Colt’s values in both action and appearance
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial service, preferably in leak sealing
- 2+ years of experience managing a team of more than 2
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- High driven, self-motivated and well organized
- Mut be able to safely operate a vehicle and make face-to-face customer meetings
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean record
- Ability to adapt to ever changing schedules and priorities (24 hour emergency service)
- Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and background check in compliance with our safety program
- All management roles are responsible for setting a good example for their staff
