Collections Representative

We're hiring Collections Representatives to join a growing team. This role is responsible for working with customers to collect on outstanding accounts but it's not your typical collections agency role. There's no hounding customers, no aggressive tactics, and no cold pressure week after week. Instead, this team takes a customer-first, relationship-based approach: building rapport with customers, offering flexible payment plans, and helping people find a realistic path to resolving what they owe. If you have strong customer service skills, are comfortable on the phone, and enjoy problem-solving, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with customers over the phone to help resolve outstanding accounts, using a relationship-based, customer-first approach.
• Manage a queue of assigned accounts (from a mix of regular and larger clients, including utility companies and healthcare organizations), with new accounts distributed evenly as they're resolved.
• Build direct rapport with customers through consistent contact and call-backs (no voicemail or email outreach).
• Multitask across multiple monitors and internal systems while on calls taking notes, updating accounts, and navigating systems in real time.
• Offer flexible payment plan options tailored to what customers can realistically manage.

What We're Looking For

• Strong customer service and phone communication skills call center or customer-facing experience preferred, but not required.
• Collections experience is not required.
• Reliable, dependable attendance this is a must.
• Candidates who value stability and long-term growth over frequent job changes; strong, steady work history preferred.
• A problem-solver with a friendly, career-driven, and competitive personality.

Schedule

• Flexible shift: 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm.
• One late shift per week (until 8:00pm).
• Up to 2 Saturdays per month (typically just 1), 8am–12pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
