Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design and integrate advanced control systems for our cutting-edge cooling solutions. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing innovative control algorithms and integrating various components to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our cooling systems.

• Develop control system architectures and design control algorithms to dynamically adjust cooling capacity based on real-time data such as temperature, humidity, and load.
• Integrate sensors, controllers, and actuators to effectively monitor and control cooling systems.
• Create and update electrical schematics and control diagrams for cooling systems.
• Program and configure controllers, develop HMI interfaces tailored to system cooling operations, and commission, test, and validate control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to ensure smooth startup and reliable performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cooling solutions meet performance requirements and participate in design reviews.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and budgeting for data center cooling projects and retrofits.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for control system designs and programming changes.
• Ensure compliance of cooling control systems with relevant industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., UL/CE guidelines).

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in designing, programming, and maintaining control systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and integration of sensor networks.
• Proficient in creating and interpreting electrical schematics and control logic diagrams.
• Strong understanding of control systems, automation, and cooling fundamentals such as thermal management, airflow, and load balancing.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Working experience with communication protocols like RS-232, RS-485, ethernet, SNMP, rest API.

• Advanced degrees or certifications in HVAC or refrigeration are a plus.
• Experience with PLM software, MRP software (Oracle cloud a plus), and mixed signal oscilloscopes, DVMs.
• 10+ years of experience in supporting large electromechanical systems.
• Data center exposure and advanced programming capabilities are preferred.

The position is based in a manufacturing engineering environment, focusing on approximately 60% controls/software and 40% hardware design. The role requires a strong understanding of the interaction between pumps, VFDs, sensors, controls, and mechanical systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company with data center expansions.

This is a Permanent position based out of Woburn, MA.

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
