Occupational Therapist School Setting - Renton, WA

Make an impact supporting students’ success as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school setting near Renton, WA. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with educators, families, and other specialists, delivering services that help students reach their fullest potential. With a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, begin as soon as possible for an initial assignment lasting 4 weeks.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid OSPI certification/licensure required
• Proven school-based OT experience
• Skilled in IEP writing and knowledgeable about special education procedures
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students and effectively manage an assigned caseload, coordinating with the school team
• Participate in initial and reevaluation processes, and engage in IEP meetings
• Design and implement individualized OT services, creating appropriate goals, accommodations, and supports
• Deliver therapy and consultation across general and special education classrooms
• Work collaboratively with teachers, paraeducators, families, and other support staff to ensure student needs are met
• Adapt equipment, activities, and materials to address specific student challenges
• Maintain thorough and accurate records, reports, and other documentation
• Analyze student data to monitor progress, making necessary adjustments to interventions
• Take part in required staff meetings and ongoing professional development
