Manufacturing Engineering Technician – 1st Shift
Pay: $20.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
Job Summary:
Seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support manufacturing equipment, processes, and engineering projects. This position will build, install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and instruments. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, technical experience, and the ability to work independently while supporting engineers and production teams.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Build, install, calibrate, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment and instruments.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment issues and make necessary repairs or modifications.
- Modify equipment, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional issues.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with equipment and process improvements.
- Identify and help resolve manufacturing equipment or process problems.
- Assemble complex equipment and systems using hand, power, and bench tools.
- Read and follow written and verbal work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Safely operate various manufacturing equipment and tools.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing personnel to complete projects.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and project support.
- Some local travel and outdoor work may be required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of technical support or related experience.
- Strong mechanical, structural, and spatial aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working around manufacturing machinery and changing outdoor conditions.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
