We’re Hiring: Geotechnical Lab Technician
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Geotechnical Lab Technician to join our team in the West Valley City and Ogden, Utah areas. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on geotechnical testing experience who enjoys working both in the lab and in the field.
What You’ll Do
- Perform laboratory testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, and other construction materials
- Conduct testing in accordance with applicable ASTM and AASHTO standards
- Prepare and document laboratory test results accurately
- Collect, label, and process material samples
- Maintain testing equipment and a clean, organized laboratory
- Assist with field testing and inspections as needed
- Communicate test results and findings with project managers and field personnel
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality-control requirements
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of geotechnical, construction materials, or laboratory testing experience
- Familiarity with soil and aggregate testing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document results
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- ACI certification preferred
- Additional ASTM/AASHTO or construction materials certifications are a plus
- Experience with concrete, soils, aggregates, or asphalt testing
