We are looking to add a Warehouse Associate to our 2nd Shift at Sullivan Steel!
Hours: Monday - Friday, 10 AM - 6 PM
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient movement of steel tubes and bars throughout our distribution warehouse, from receipt through shipment. This role ensures orders are picked, verified, packaged, and shipped according to customer requirements, and supports inventory accuracy.
What will you be doing?
- Pick, process, and complete customer orders for steel tubing and bars, including cutting products to customer specifications using saws, grinders, or other shop equipment while maintaining quality and accuracy standards.
- Load, unload, receive, and ship materials safely and accurately while ensuring all documentation is complete and correct.
- Conduct inspections on incoming / outgoing materials to verify quantities, product quality, and order accuracy.
- Pull, stage, bundle, package, and prepare products for shipment to ensure on-time customer deliveries.
- Operate sit-down and side-loader forklifts, when necessary, to move heavy materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
- Identify, segregate, and report nonconforming materials while maintaining product traceability.
- Remove scrap and waste materials to support a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
- Perform routine equipment checks and support general warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience, demonstrating proficiency in various operations required.
- Experience operating machines, such as industrial saws or side-loader forklifts, is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, including reading measurements and converting between fractions and decimals required.
- Demonstrated reliability with a safety-first mindset.
- Experience with crane operations is a plus; training will be provided as needed to operate cranes safely and effectively.
