Volt is immediately hiring 1st Shift Production/Laborers (W/Fork lift Exp)in Hayward, CA.

As a Production Laborer you will:

• Operate production packaging lines in a safe and efficient manner
• Label containers according to customer specifications and DOT regulations
• Place empty containers onto filling lines for production
• Lift, pack, palletize, and stretch wrap finished products according to customer requirements
• Perform material handling duties throughout the production process
• Operate a forklift as needed (approximately 10% of the workday)
• Assist with production line changeovers and equipment setup
• Maintain production lines and work areas in a clean and organized condition
• Support general plant and warehouse cleanup activities
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals

This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM.

Production/Laborer candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous production, packaging, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred
• Forklift certification or tow motor experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to follow workplace safety procedures and company policies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to consistently and repetitively lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move, slide, or roll drums on and off pallets as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must successfully complete all required screenings and background checks

Pay for this position is $19.30/ hr.
