DEM Elevating Equipment, a division of Delaware Elevator,is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to join our team. If you’re a dependable CDL Class A driver who takes pride in safety, organization, and teamwork, we want to hear from you.
Essential Responsibilities
- Transport products and materials to and from various destinations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding schedules and job status.
- Load trucks for deliveries (forklift and equipment provided)
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse
- Check in incoming materials and freight
- Maintain CDL logs to ensure DOT compliance
Position Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CDL Class B license (required), Class A preferred
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years of on-the-road experience
- Forklift certification
- Ability to lift heavy materials (with assistance or equipment as needed)
- Experience maintaining CDL logs for DOT compliance
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Experience driving in city environments (e.g. larger metropolitan areas such as New York City)
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to lift heavy material (with assistance or help and or equipment)
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
