Nanny By Design is seeking experienced caregivers who are available to provide flexible childcare support for families throughout the Triangle area, including Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Wake Forest, and surrounding communities.
This part-time opportunity is designed for caregivers who can provide dependable backup, fill-in, and short-term childcare while maintaining flexibility in their own schedules. Availability of multiple days each week is preferred.
Position Details
- Pay: $18 per hour
- Guaranteed hours
- Mileage reimbursement
- Position Type: Part-time, as needed
- Availability: 2–3 or more days per week
- Schedule: Varies according to family needs
- Days: Monday through Saturday assignments may be available
- Location: Triangle area
- Travel: Throughout the Triangle region is required
What You'll Do
- Provide attentive and dependable childcare for local families
- Step in for backup and fill-in childcare needs
- Follow each family's established routines and instructions
- Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities
- Provide supervision, play, and engagement appropriate to the children's ages
- Help maintain a safe and positive environment
- Adapt comfortably to different households and childcare routines
- Communicate clearly with families and Nanny By Design
- Travel to family and assignment locations throughout the Triangle
Ideal Candidate
The ideal caregiver is experienced, flexible, dependable, and comfortable adjusting to different family needs. This position is suited to someone who enjoys working with children and wants the ability to accept part-time assignments while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional childcare experience, including experience with private families, daycare, school, or related volunteer settings
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification
- Willingness to travel throughout the Triangle region
- Dependable and professional
- Comfortable working with different families, schedules, and childcare needs
