A. Basic Functions:
To efficiently provide incident and issue reporting to TLC Management, Case Managers and other program team members. To provide assistance to TLC participants and program team members as well as to perform assigned duties to ensure a safe and secure facility.
B. Essential Functions:
1. To welcome and greet all who enter and those who are participants in the TLC in a friendly and cordial way.
2. Ensure that participants abide by TLC's participant rules and be knowledgeable of requirements to be a participant at Transitional Living Center.
- Communicate in a professional manner to all.
- To accurately and with detail report incidences, issues and information relating to TLC program participants, volunteers, and staff. Reporting includes, but is not limited to verbal reports, phone messages, Housing Ready Reports and email.
- Perform a building inspection at the start of your shift to make sure building is secure and safe. I.e. kitchen, lounge, family room is clean and orderly, all safety equipment is functional, fire exit doors are secure etc.
- Be aware of activity on the floors by monitoring video system and document any violations.
- Maintain secure and safe environment for participants.
- Monitor participants as they come and go and note any unusual (out of the ordinary) activity. Any unusual activity should be noted in the daily log book, with complete details.
3. Provide support to Team Leaders of Operations and Programs Management, Case Managers, volunteers and others as needed.
4. Perform program reporting monitor duties:
- Answer telephone: take messages, forward calls and explain program when necessary.
- Greet visitors and determine nature of business, directing or assisting them accordingly.
- Complete Shift Report form via e-mail
- Sort and distribute mail into participant mail boxes.
- Review e-mail shift end reports from previous shift for pertinent information at the beginning of each shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned. (Wash windows, sweep or shovel sidewalk, fill soda machines, vacuuming, laundry etc.)
- Perform Drug Tests and breathalyzer tests when asked by Supervisor or Case Manager
- Report needed repairs to Maintenance Voicemail as well as Supervisors
C.Other Functions:
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain a professional attitude and boundaries at all times.
- Maintain a stress-free environment with TLC.
- Attend program reporting monitor team meetings and TLC staff meetings as scheduled.
- Update knowledge by reading relevant periodicals and attending seminars.
- Advocate for TLC.

F.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Education or experience ina Human Service field helpful.
- Must be computer proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel
- Ability to provide customer service in a professional manner.
- Fluency in the English language is required. Spanish speaking ability is an added asset, but is not required.
- The ability to interact effectively with participants and service providers under conditions that may be stressful.
- Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of population served.
- A commitment to empowering others to solve their own problems.
- A conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change.
- The ability to establish a respectful relationship with persons served to help them gain skills and confidence.
- The ability to work collaboratively with other personnel and/or service providers or professionals.
