Network Engineer

Be apart of the team that is supporting the restart of the nuclear power plant and helping build the network foundation that powers critical energy operations.

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support enterprise network infrastructure within a highly regulated, mission-critical environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale networking projects that directly support the modernization and operation of a nuclear generation facility.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure
• Configure and maintain Cisco routing and switching environments
• Support campus and data center networking solutions
• Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, and security issues
• Perform network capacity planning and infrastructure lifecycle management
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, standards, and technical documentation
• Participate in network architecture reviews and technology evaluations
• Support critical operations in a highly available and secure network environment

Required Qualifications

• Experience working as a Network Engineer in a large enterprise environment
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching
• Proven network troubleshooting experience
• Experience supporting LAN/WAN infrastructure
• Knowledge of wireless networking technologies
• Understanding of routing protocols and network design principles
• Ability to support critical, business-essential infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking experience
• Experience supporting large-scale campus or data center networks
• Experience in utilities, manufacturing, energy, industrial environments, or other critical infrastructure sectors
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Additional Information

• Workplace Type: Onsite
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours with flexibility as needed

This is a Contract position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
