About this role Per diem Carpenter Foreman needed in Carrollton, GA to lead site carpentry crews on commercial projects. You'll run layout, inspect work, train staff, and perform both rough and finish carpentry tasks from framing and formwork to cabinetry and trim. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who reads drawings, manages time and materials, sets schedules, and keeps crews productive. Position requires travel and is open to workers willing to relocate; per diem and relocation support are provided for the right candidate.
What you'll do- Lead and supervise carpentry crews: assign tasks, develop daily/weekly work schedules, and train crew members on site processes
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings; perform site layout and checking for accuracy
- Perform and oversee framing (wood and metal), floor, wall, roof and stair framing, plus concrete formwork and excavation support as needed
- Install cabinets, countertops, doors, hardware, windows, trim, paneling, and complete finish carpentry including floor sanding/finishing
- Set up and inspect scaffolding systems, coordinate crane signaling, and enforce safe material handling and site housekeeping
- Manage time-and-material tracking, inspect completed work to quality standards, and communicate progress to project leadership
What we're looking for- Proven experience in both rough and finish carpentry: wood framing, metal framing, stair framing, trim, paneling, and floor/roof work
- Skilled with cabinetmaking, countertop installation, door/window installation, and finish operations including sanding and finishing floors
- Able to read and interpret drawings, perform layout, measuring and cutting to tight tolerances
- Experience supervising crews or as a carpentry foreman: staff training, work inspection, and schedule development
- Knowledge of concrete formwork carpentry, scaffolding installation, in-wall blocking, and excavation/trench work
- Comfortable with crane signaling, material management, and coordinating time-and-material jobs on site
Qualifications- Valid driver's license and reliable travel availability; willing to relocate for the assignment
- OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
- Crane signaling certification or documented experience as signal person
- Journeyman card, NCCER certification, or equivalent carpentry trade credential preferred
- Proficient English for verbal and written instructions; able to perform basic construction math
