We are seeking a skilled and experienced Single Hand Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and capable of passing a 6G welding test. This position requires expertise in welding pipes in all
positions and ensuring high-quality, structurally sound welds
Requirements
Must pass a 6G SMAW welding test prior to employment
• Minimum 3 years of welding experience (pipe welding preferred)
• Proficiency in welding techniques, including stick welding (SMAW). (TGAW would be
a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Must have or be willing to test for necessary welding certifications as required
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions if required
Job Responsibilities
• Perform SMAW welding on various materials, primarily carbon pipe welding in the
6G position. Stainless Steel TGAW would be a plus.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and company policies
• Inspect and test welds to maintain quality control
• Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and effectively
• Work in a variety of environments, including cold weather, confined spaces or
elevated positions.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
Knowledge & Skill
• Previous experience in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing setting
• Additional certifications in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, or FCAW welding processes
• Knowledge of safety regulations and welding codes (e.g., AWS, ASME)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 – 3:30 with option for overtime
