A well-established organization is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage commercial medical billing, remittances, denials, aged receivables, and patient accounts. Key Responsibilities:

• Post remittances and work denials and aged receivables
• Process monthly and daily invoices
• Set up and maintain information and eligibility records
• Follow up with carriers to verify accounts are properly opened
• Review accounts, make necessary billing adjustments, and apply patient payments
• Respond to patient and staff questions regarding billing and accounts
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of relevant billing or healthcare experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable using email, EHR/EMR systems, and web-based insurance portals
• Microsoft Word and Excel experience a plus
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle confidential information

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Work Setting: On-site daily; this is not a remote position.
