JobSummary
WeareseekingaControlsEngineertojoinamanufacturingteaminTuscaloosa,Alabama.Thisroleisresponsiblefordeveloping,implementing,andoptimizingcontrolssystemstoreduceequipmentdowntime,improveproductionefficiency,andsupportcontinuousimprovementinitiativesinafast-pacedmanufacturingenvironment.Theidealcandidatewillhaveexperienceworkingcloselywithplantmaintenanceteamsandsupportingautomatedproductionsystems.
KeyResponsibilities
- Developandimplementsoftwareandhardwaremodificationstoimproveequipmentperformance,quality,andefficiency.
- Troubleshoot,maintain,andprogramPLCsystemstoresolveproductionissuesandminimizedowntime.
- Supportautomatedmanufacturingequipment,includingrobotics,HMIs,andvisionsystems.
- Collaboratewithmaintenance,engineering,production,andqualityteamstooptimizemanufacturingoperations.
- Coordinateactivitieswithcontractors,vendors,andsuppliersasneeded.
- Maintainaccuratedocumentation,includingmachineparameters,programmingchanges,equipmentrecords,drawings,manuals,andpreventivemaintenancedocumentation.
- Manageinventoryofcriticalsparepartsandsuppliestosupportuninterruptedproduction.
- Participateinequipmentlaunches,processimprovements,andcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.
- Ensurecompliancewithcompanypolicies,safetystandards,ISO14001,andIATF16949requirements.
- Providemaintenanceteamsupportandleadershipcoveragewhennecessary.
RequiredQualifications
- Bachelor'sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,MechanicalEngineering,AutomationEngineering,orarelatedengineeringdiscipline.
- 5-6yearsofmanufacturingengineeringexperienceinanindustrialproductionenvironment.
- Experienceworkingwithplantmaintenanceteamsandautomatedmanufacturingsystems.
- ProficiencywithAllen-BradleyPLCplatforms,including:
- ControlLogix
- CompactLogix
- MicroLogix
- Abilitytoread,troubleshoot,andmodifyladderlogicprograms.
- ExperienceprogrammingandsupportingHMIsystems,includingPanelView.
- ExperiencewithFANUCrobotics;ABBroboticsexperienceisaplus.
- Experiencewithindustrialautomation,controlsintegration,andvisionsystems.
- Strongtroubleshooting,analytical,andproblem-solvingskills.
PreferredQualifications
- ExperiencewithSiemensPLCprogramming.
- ExperiencewithelectrictorquecontrolsystemssuchasAtlasCopcoorStanleytools.
- Experienceleadingmaintenanceactivitiesorsupportingmaintenancepersonnel.
- Strongcommunication,organizational,andmultitaskingabilities.
- Self-motivatedwiththeabilitytoworkindependentlyinahigh-volumemanufacturingenvironment.
