Project Manager

Midlake Builders is one of Northern Michigan's premier custom home building and remodeling companies. We have been a consistent presence in the market for over 30 years. Our company is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. We are looking for people with experience, great work ethic, strong teamwork qualities and take a high level of pride in their workmanship.

Job Summary: This position will primarily be focused on Project Management with occasional Estimating duties. Coordinate with Clients, Designers, Architects and Engineers. Coordinate, support and manage Midlake Builders self-perform craftsman. Coordinate and manage subcontractor work and project suppliers. Manage all parties involved in projects as needed to ensure efficient workflows, excellent quality and that a high level of cost control is maintained at all times.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management and/or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of two years experience in Project Management.
• Minimum of one year experience in Estimating.
• Basic understanding of relevant building codes
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent understanding of construction procedures, materials, basic project management and estimating principles.
• Familiarity with applicable quality, health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable transportation
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and pdf editing programs
• Proficient in using electrical, manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
• Reliable and punctual

Work Schedule: Full time: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Friday 7:30 am 2:30 pm
