Laundry Aide
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team at Christopher House, a 150-bed Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center located in Worcester, Massachusetts. As a Laundry Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facility, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care.
Responsibilities:
Wash, dry, and fold laundry items, including linens, clothing, and bedding
Clean and sanitize laundry equipment and areas
Maintain a clean and organized laundry room and storage areas
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and uniforms
Follow established protocols for handling soiled laundry and ensuring proper disposal of waste
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to lift and carry laundry bags and equipment (up to 25 pounds)
Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
