MACHINE OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for aMachine Operatorfor a company based inOlive Branch,MS.Inthisrole, you willhave the opportunity towork with heavy production machinery used in the manufacture of corrugated packaging. The position involves setting up and operating equipment, monitoring production quality, making machine adjustments, handling finished products, and maintaining a safe and clean production area.
Pay Rate
$15.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday,6:00 am to2:30 pm.
Machine OperatorDuties and Responsibilities
- Set up production machinery according to machine-specific procedures.
- Operate heavy manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Make adjustmentsduring setup and production to maintain product quality.
- Monitor machine operation and product quality throughout each production run.
- Adjust machineflow, speed, temperature, dimensions, pressure, and register settingsas necessary.
- Completerequiredbox quality checksfor each production order.
- Ensure finished units are configured according to customer specifications.
- Count and stack finished products.
- Enter production information and production data into the computer system.
- Identify equipment problems and immediately report significant mechanical failures to the supervisor.
- Work safely aroundelectrical, hydraulic, and mechanical energy sources.
- Follow all safety procedures, includingLockout/Tagout (LOTO)requirements.
- Perform machine and work-area housekeeping, including cleaning machine components and ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping, and removing/shredding scrap material.
- Read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Work overtimeandweekends when production needs require it.
Machine OperatorQualificationsandRequirements
- Previousmanufacturing or warehouse experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with industrial machinery.
- Ability to read atape measure to 1/16 inch.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and product quality.
- Ability to read, write, communicate, and follow written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Flexibility regarding assignments and production requirements.
- Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to perform physical duties includingstanding, bending, kneeling, reaching, crouching, andlifting upto 50 pounds.
