Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst 2 to analyze business needs and support the planning, design, testing, and implementation of new or enhanced information systems.

The Business Analyst will serve as a key subject matter expert, working closely with business stakeholders, application development teams, technical teams, and third-party vendors. This position will support application operations, maintenance, enhancements, requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and data requests throughout the project lifecycle.

• Analyze business needs and translate stakeholder needs into clear and detailed business requirements.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for application functionality and business operations.

• Ensure application functionality, requirements, and industry standards are accurately defined and implemented.

• Coordinate application maintenance and support activities.

• Develop detailed business requirements, functional documentation, and system documentation.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and identify opportunities for system enhancements.

• Assist with developing user training materials, including screenshots, instructions, and user guidance.

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test preparation, execution, defect tracking, and resolution.

• Assist with data preparation and validation for testing and implementation activities.

• Participate in enhancement projects through the full project lifecycle, from requirements definition through implementation and evaluation.

• Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and successful project deliverables.

• Support production activities and application-related issues.

• Fulfill data requests and assist with data analysis.

• Participate in IT project planning and coordination activities.

• Review project deliverables to ensure business requirements are accurately addressed.

• Perform additional business analysis and project-related duties as assigned.

• Experience managing or supporting IT projects.

• Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 10+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience supporting large-scale IT applications.

• Experience with requirements gathering, application testing, and system enhancements.

• Experience working with government or public-sector organizations is preferred.
