Engineering - Mechanical Engineer

Location: Marietta, GA (Onsite)
Pay: $26.00 to $80.00 per hour, overtime eligible
Employment type: Contract (W-2), approximately 12 months
Schedule: 4/10 A; onsite full time
Security clearance: Active Secret

Support flight test instrumentation with mechanical design for transport aircraft and advanced development programs. Your primary focus will be mechanical design and drawings for data acquisition installations on aircraft.

• Design, document and support installation and operation of flight test data acquisition systems
• Produce mechanical and hardware designs and drawings for instrumentation (strain gages, thermocouples, pressure transducers, accelerometers, racks)
• Coordinate with electrical instrumentation and systems engineers
• Work with technicians and mechanics to fabricate and install designs
• Implement designs in CATIA V5 and CADAM (CCD)

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 5+ years of part design, assembly design and drawings in CATIA V5
• 5+ years with CADAM Computer Drafting (CCD) or other 2D drafting software
• 3+ years with test instrumentation (strain gages, pressure transducers, accelerometers, thermocouples)
• Active Secret clearance

• 2+ years of military transport or other aircraft structural design
• Machine shop experience with fabrication mechanics
• CAD Datanet

Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
