Drafter

Job Title: DrafterLocation: Gray, LAType: Direct HireCompensation: $60,000 - $75,000Work Model: Onsite – onsiteHours: 40.0

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure designs meet engineering standards, customer requirements, and manufacturing needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and installation teams to support project execution.
• Review designs for accuracy and provide technical support during fabrication and installation.
• Assist with design reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvements.
• Mentor junior designers and support technical documentation development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies, fabrication drawings, welding practices, and structural components.
• Experience creating detailed drawings and BOMs.
• Familiarity with AWS welding standards and industry codes preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field preferred.
