We are seeking a hands-on Machining Process Engineer to support and optimize CNC machining operations. This role will focus on developing new product launches and improving machining processes, programming CNC lathes, reducing setup and changeover times, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with multi-axis turning operations, particularly 5-axis lathe machines, and a passion for solving complex manufacturing challenges.

- Develop, optimize, and maintain machining processes for CNC turning operations.
- Support new product introductions and ensure manufacturability of components.
- Program and troubleshoot CNC lathes, with a strong focus on 5-axis machining.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce cycle times, and improve part quality.
- Drive setup reduction and changeover improvement initiatives to maximize machine utilization.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve machining-related issues.
- Evaluate tooling, fixturing, and equipment to improve manufacturing performance.
- Create and maintain work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and process standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on machining experience.
- Strong CNC lathe programming experience required.
- Experience with 5-axis lathe machining is highly preferred.
- Proven success improving machining processes, reducing setup times, and increasing operational efficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
- Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
- Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
