Senior Embedded Software Engineer, C#Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the development and integration of software for a complex defense system. This position will focus on object-oriented and embedded software development within a Windows-based environment.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team developing, testing, and integrating software that interfaces with complex hardware systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test object-oriented software using C#
- Develop software for embedded and hardware-integrated applications
- Develop and maintain unit tests using NUnit and Moq
- Support software integration, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
- Participate in Agile software development activities
- Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams
- Support system-level integration and verification activities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Support occasional travel for integration, testing, or other program needs
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related experience; Master's degree with 6+ years; or PhD with 4+ years
- Extensive experience developing object-oriented software using C#
- Extensive experience with embedded software development
- Experience developing software in a Windows environment
- Experience using NUnit
- Experience using Moq
- Knowledge of SysUML
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools and Agile software development practices
- Ability to travel approximately 10%
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems
- Security+ certification
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
