Recruiter – Mining & Exploration
Due to increased staffing demand, we are seeking an experiencedRecruiter – Mining & Explorationto support hiring across scientific, technical, and mining functions.The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying and engaging specialized talent, including geologists, core loggers, exploration professionals, and project managers supporting mining and exploration operations.
This role is primarily focused on recruiting and talent sourcing.A remote work arrangement may be available for the right candidate based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and engage candidates for roles including Exploration Geologists, Mine Geologists, Core Loggers/Core Technicians, Exploration Managers, Project Managers, and other mining and exploration professionals.
- Utilize industry job boards, professional networks, and mining-specific resources to identify qualified active and passive candidates.
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies for specialized and hard-to-fill positions.
- Work with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, project phases, site conditions, and workforce needs.
- Screen resumes and candidates for relevant experience, including drilling programs, core logging, resource modeling, geological mapping, exploration programs, and mining operations.
- Recruit for positions supporting remote sites, camp-based operations, and rotational/FIFO work environments.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, activity, and pipelines within ATS/CRM systems.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
- Provide a professional and responsive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of recruiting or sourcing experience, preferably within mining, natural resources, energy, engineering, construction, or heavy industry.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing candidates for geology, exploration, mining operations, or technical field-based positions.
- Familiarity with mining and exploration terminology, including core logging, drilling campaigns, grade control, resource estimation, geological mapping, and resource modeling.
- Experience recruiting for remote, camp-based, FIFO/DIDO, or rotational workforce environments.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ATS/CRM systems, industry job boards, and other sourcing tools.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple searches and candidate pipelines effectively.
