Position Requirements
- Lifts, positions, and removes work pieces from machines to assist in fitting and packaging
- Holds tape measuring and other measuring devices top perform dimensional verification of finished products
- Assist line operator in record keeping of production and material utilization
- Loads, stack, transports stocks and work in process by hand or truck
- Cleans up and trim metal preparatory to manufacturing, packaging or shipping
- Picks up, stacks and straps scrap from work area
- Perform general shop floor clean up and maintenance
- Performs other routine duties
- Observes safety and Standard Operating Procedures
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses equipment and materials properly
- Finishing aluminum, copper, steel, and plastic parts used in assembly of power supply units
- Grinding, filing, or deburring surfaces of parts using various methods and equipment
- Preparing parts for powder coating including washing and masking based on company specifications
- Setting up and operating CNC punch presses and press brake
- Pemming component parts based on company specifications
- Reading work orders and following bill of materials and bill of operations
- Setting up and assembling heat sinks, while working with the robotic arm
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-year related experience is preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude using hand and power tools
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Knowledge and understanding of BOMs, assembly drawings and other related manufacturing documents
is preferred - Knowledge in operating CNC machines and the associated measurement tools is preferred
- The employee must frequently lift or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts such as conveyors rolls and power industrial trucks also known as Forklifts
- Works around manufacturing equipment such as roll forming lines, automated packaging systems, wood saws and forklift traffic
