Snelling is recruiting an experiencedInventory/Receiving Specialist for a Birmingham-area company. This position will be responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing inventory and materials while helping maintain accurate inventory records.
Job Responsibilities of Inventory/Receiving Specialist:
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and shipments
- Verify quantities and items against packing slips and purchase orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts
- Pull, stage, and distribute materials as needed
- Organize and maintain a clean and orderly warehouse/inventory area
- Assist with shipping and preparing materials for delivery
- Communicate with internal departments regarding inventory and material needs
- Occasionally travel toOxford and Gadsden, ALto assist with inventory and receiving needs
- Safely load, unload, and move materials as needed
- Perform other warehouse and inventory-related duties as assigned
Qualifications Needed for Inventory/Receiving Specialist:
- Previous inventory, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately track inventory and paperwork
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Forklift experience is a plus
Additional Details:
- Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
- $18–$20/hour, depending on experience
- Occasional travel toOxford and Gadsden, AL
- Mileage paid for travel to additional locations
- Full-time opportunity
